He began his career at Arthur Andersen, London, UK, from 1992 to 1996 as an Assistant Manager and later served as Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman of Trenergy (M) Berhad from 1996 to 1999. He subsequently joined Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad from 1999 to 2000 as Unit Head and later went om to become Executive Director of SSR Associates Sdn. Bhd., a boutique corporate advisory firm, from 2000 to 2001.

Subsequently, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad from 2001 to 2003,a Malaysian conglomerate involved in property, construction and infrastructure. From 2003 to 2009, he was the Group Managing Director and CEO of Media Prima Berhad, an integrated media investment group in Malaysia prior joining Ekuiti Nasional Berhad ("Ekuinas") in 2009 as the Executive Director and CEO where he leads its Management Committee and is a member of its Investment Committee.
