Working Experience
He has more than 40 years experience in the civil and public service and had held various ministerial portfolios in the Cabinet, including Welfare Services, Federal Territory and Foreign Affairs between 1978 and 1997. He was a Member of Parliament from 1978 until 1997 and has also served as Menteri Besar of Selangor from 1997 to 2000.

Presently, he is the Chirman of Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Selangor, State Economic Development Corporation and State Agriculture Development Corporation and directors/adviser/Chairman of other companies.
