Working Experience
Mr Thon started his career with Harpers Trading (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in 1971 holding various managerial positions until he was appointed as Managing Director in 1995. In 1999, Mr Thon was appointed as Chief Operating Officer, Consumer Products Operations of DKSH Holdings (Malaysia) Berhad where he oversaw all consumer product operations of Diethelm Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Harpers Trading (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. He retired from this position in the middle of 2004 and remained on the Board as Executive Director to handle a number of special projects for the Company until 31 December 2005.
