En Abu Bakar has over 24 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. He began his career as a Project Engineer in Tanjung Gelang Oil Terminal and moved on to the Shell group of companies where he spent the next thirteen years in various capacities including as Market Analyst - Special Projects, Area Manager for East Coast, Retail Area Manager- Central Area and as a Business Development Manager. In 1996, he left Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd to start his own business, Niza Sdn. Bhd. before assuming the role of Executive Director/ CEO of Oilfield Pipeline Inspection.
