Working Experience
Dato' Ir Wong is an engineer by profession. He served in the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment in various positions for 13 years. His last position held was as a Regional Director of the Department of Environment for Terengganu and Kelantan from November 1985 till October 1990 before he left to become a consulting engineer. He was elected as a State Assemblyman in Terengganu in 1995 and appointed as State Exco member. He was appointed as Deputy President of Senate in 2004 and later as President of the Senate from July 2009 till April 2010.
