During his career, Encik Izlan Bin Izhab ("Encik Izlan") served as the Assistant Legal Officer for Majlis Amanah Rakyat from 1973 to 1975, Company Secretary for Komplek Kewangan Malaysia Berhad from 1975 to 1978, Company Secretary for Permodalan Nasional Berhad from 1978 to 1984 and Executive Vice President, Corporate and Legal Affairs at the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now known as Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad) from 1985 until his retirement in 2000.

Encik Izlan is also a Director of Reach Energy Berhad and Federation Of Public Listed Companies Bhd and was formerly an Independent Non-Executive Director of Sun Life Malaysia Takaful Berhad. He is also currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad's wholly-owned subsidiary, Kenanga Futures Sdn Bhd.
