Datuk Dr. Mohd. Fowzi Bin Hj. Razi graduated with a BEc from the University of Adelaide (Australia). He obtained his MBA and MSc (Finance) from the University of Strathclyde (United Kingdom) and also holds a Ph.D (Economics) from the University of Exeter (United Kingdom). He also holds the following professional qualifications: CA (Malaysia) and FCPA (Australia); and is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Management and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management (United Kingdom).

Datuk Dr. Mohd. Fowzi Bin Hj. Razi was appointed as the Group Managing Director of Suria Capital Holdings Berhad on 29 April 2009. He sits in the Remuneration  Committee and the Risk Management Committee of the Board. He also holds directorships in Sabah Development Bank, UMS Link Holdings and Desa Group of Companies. He joined the Sabah State Civil Service as an accountant in 1979 and was appointed as the State Treasurer in 1994. In 1996, he was then appointed as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance (Sabah) He had also served in other key appointments such as the Chief Executive Officer/ Executive Director of Sabah Bank Berhad and Sabah Development Bank, Group Chief Executive of Innoprise Corporation Sdn. Bhd. and General Manager of Ko Nelayan. His last appointment before he took his appointment in Suria Capital was the Director of the State Economic Planning Unit (Sabah).
