Mr Wee Hoe Soon @ Gooi Hoe Soon has more than 20 years experience in the field of accounting and corporate finance and was Finance Director of several private and public listed companies on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. He had been instrumental in the successful implementation of several corporate exercises, which included merger and acquisition and corporate debt restructuring exercises undertaken by public listed companies.

In 1999, Mr Gooi was appointed to the Board of Avenue Capital Resources Berhad as a Non-Executive Director and subsequently appointed as Group Managing Director in 2001 and Deputy Chairman in 2004, holding this last post until 2006. He was also a CEO/Executive Director-Dealing of Avenue Securities Sdn Bhd.
