Chris holds a Bachelor of Civil Laws (Masters) degree from Oxford University where he read his postgraduate law degree at The Kings Hall and College of Brasenose (BNC). He also read law at Bristol University under a British High Commissioner’s Chevening Scholarship awarded to him by the British Council and an Overseas Student Scholarship awarded by Bristol University. He received his secondary education at Raffles Institution, Singapore, under an ASEAN Secondary Scholarship from the Singapore Ministry of Education and read his A-Levels at Reffles Junior College under an ASEAN Pre-University Scholarship from the Singapore Public Service Commission.

Mr. Chris Lim started legal practice in Malaysia in year 1997. He has acted for most of the investment banks in Malaysia on a number of different corporate finance transactions. He joined Baker & McKenzie in Hong Kong as an associate in year 2000. In year 2003, he was head hunted to serve as a Counsel for Hong Kong Disneyland. He also took up a position as a Consultant at a boutique Hong Kong law firm specializing in China focused corporate advisory work.

In year 2006, he was appointed as a General Counsel of the world’s largest online gaming company, in charge of all corporate and legal affairs, travelling between Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore and the Philippines.

He then moved back to Malaysia and assumed the position of Managing Partner of Ting & Partners in October 2008. The name of the firm was changed in year 2009 and again in year 2013 to better reflect its ownership. He is currently a partner of Messrs. Chris Lim Su Heng.

Chris has in the last six years represented listed companies and other clients in contentious matters. He would now consider himself as both a litigation as well as a corporate lawyer.
