From 1981 to 1995 he was with Arab-Malaysian Development Berhad (AMDB) where he was the General Manager (Properties) from 1981 to 1988, General Manager (Textiles) 1988 to 1990 Senior General Manager (Properties) 1990 to 1993 and Executive Director until 1995. He has a vast experience in the development of commercial buildings, condominiums, hotels, resorts, industrial and housing estates.
