Appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company on 25 January, 2007. He has served the Government for 32 years until his mandatory retirement on 8 December 2005. During that period he had served in various capacities in several departments/ ministries as follows :-

- From 1973 to 1975 he was the Assistant Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs - From 1976 to 1990 he was with National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) where he was the Project Officer, Senior Project Officer, Programme Coordinator and Head of Studies respectively
- From 1990 to 1991 he was the Deputy Director of Training and Career Development Division in Public Service Department
- From 1991 to 1997 he was with Ministry of Education where he was the Secretary of Higher Education Division and Deputy Director of Policy Management and Governance of Higher Education Institutions respectively
- From 1997 to 2001 he was the Secretary cum General Manager of National Accreditation Board (LAN)
- From 2001 to 2003 he was the Director of Organizational Development Division in Public Service Department
- From 2003 to 2004 he was the Secretary General of Ministry of Human Resources
- From 2004 to 2005 he was the Secretary General of Ministry of Higher Education

Apart from his formal duties as a public official, he was also involved in the activities of professional bodies in which he was a Registered Town Planner with the Board of Town Planners Malaysia; a Corporate Member of Malaysian Institute of Planners (MMIP) and member of Certified Quality Management System Assessment Auditor (IQA).
