B.A. (Hons) 2nd Class Upper in Accountancy from London Metropolitan University (formerly known as City of London Polytechnic) United Kingdom.

Advance Management Graduate from The Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

Advance Diploma in Corporate Finance from Institute of Chartered Accountants, England and Wales.

After graduating from London Metropolitan University (formerly known as the City of London Polytechnic) in 1981, Mr Wong joined Baker Rooke, a firm of chartered accountants in London. During his time in the profession, he gained wide experience and exposure in auditing, accountancy and management consultancy work.

He later joined Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad ("Aseambankers") in March 1983. He had more than 20 years experience in the field of corporate and project advisories with Aseambankers wherein he was the Executive Vice President, heading of the divisions for more than 10 years.

He was also the Treasurer for the Association of Merchant Banks in Malaysia wherein he was responsible for the financial operations of the Association for more than 5 years. At that time, he represented the Association as a Committee member of the Corporate Disclosure Best Practices Task Force organised by the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

He left Aseambankers in January 2004 and set up his own Licenced Investment Advisory Company, WYNCORP Advisory Sdn Bhd ("WYNCORP"), a corporate advisory firm licensed by the Securities Commission of Malaysia. Currently, he is the Managing Director of WYNCORP. He is also an Honorary Advisor to the Master Builders Association Malaysia.
