Dato' Hamzah was an Audit Assistant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly known as Price WaterHouse & Co) from 1969 to 1975 and then worked for 5 years as Finance and Administration Manager in Pillar Naco Malaysia Sdn Bhd, which deals with architectural metal fabrication. From 1980 to 1993, he held various senior managerial positions in Pernas Sime Darby Group and the Sime Darby Group of Compnies. Presently, he is the Chief Executive Officer of Spanco Sdn Bhd, a fleet management specialist.
