En. Zainuddin Bin Din served in the Malaysian Government service until 1976 with his last held position being the Director, Industries Division, Ministry of International Trade and Industry. From 1976 to 1991, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Pertanian Baring Sanwa Merchant Bankers Bhd. (now known as Commerce International Merchant Bankers Bhd). After one year with AIA Capital, Hong Kong, he joined Malacca Securities Sdn. Bhd. as Executive Director for eight years until his resignation from that position in February 2001.

He was appointed as Director of Transocean Holdings Bhd ("THB") on 8 August 1994 and sits in Audit and Risk Management Committee, Nomination Committee, and Remuneration Committee, prior to his appointment as Chairman of all the said three Board Committees in 1 July 2010.
