Mr. Wong Mun Keong graduated with a Bachelors of Commerce in Accounting, Finance and Systems (Honours) from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 1986.

Mr. Wong Mun Keong commenced his career in 1987 as a Personal Assistant to the Chairman, Tan Sri Wan Azmi, Rohas Sdn Bhd, Kuala Lumpur where he served for two (2) years. Thereafter in 1989, he joined Investment and Econometric Research Pty Ltd in Sydney, Australia as a Credit Analyst where he conducted bond ratings analysis and credit market research. He left investment and Econometric Research Pty Ltd a year later and joint University of Technology, Sydney where he took on the role as a lecturer in finance. He left Sydney in 1992 and returned to Kuala Lumpur where he joined RHB Research Institute Sdn Bhd as a Senior Analyst and there, he was a team leader and conducted research involving Malaysian public listed companies. After two (2) years of serving in RHB Research Institute Sdn Bhd, Mr. Wong join Schroder Research (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in 1994 as a Director and headed the Kuala Lumpur office in equities research. As the head of equities research of the company, his key role was to lead its analyst team who produced research reports on Malaysian public listed companies, mostly for foreign institutional clients. Mr. Wong Mun Keong thereafter left in 1998 and joined Gamuda Berhad where he held the position as Group General Manager, Business Development & Corporate Finance. Amongst his key responsibilities then included investor relations and the development of privatised infrastructure projects.

After serving Gamuda Berhad for nine (9) years, he joined REI Group in 2007 as Chief Investment Officer where he was responsible for the overall direct investment and the management of all corporate portfolio of REI Group. As the Chief Investment Officer of REI Group, Mr. Wong Mun Keong continues to play a role in the overall management and supervision the investment and corporate sector of REI Group. 

Mr. Wong Mun Keong, currently holds directorships in several other private companies.
