Mr. Gan Poh San holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) majoring in Accounting and Finance from Staffordshire University and further obtained his MSc. in Finance from Imperial College (Management School), United Kingdom in 1998. He further studied Japanese language and plastic engineering in Kai Japanese School and Nissei Plastics School in Japan, respectively.

He held a number of senior management positions within SKP Resources Berhad Group prior to being appointed to SKP Resources Berhads Board as Executive Director on 3 December 2002.
