Working Experience
He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and also a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He began his career as an auditor at Messrs Hanafiah Raslan & Mohamad in 1986. Following that, he joined the Sime Darby Group as an Accountant in 1989 serving various capacities in its KL corporate office, Singapore and Melaka until 1993.
Bazlan had a brief stint in American Express before joining Kumpulan Fima Berhad in 1994 where he was subsequently appointed as the Senior Vice President, Finance / Company Secretary. In January 2001, he joined Celcom (Malaysia) Bhd (Celcom) as the Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance and Treasury, and subsequently promoted to be the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Celcom in October 2002. He joined Telekom Malaysia Berhad as Group CFO effective from 1st May,2005.
