Mr. Peter started his career in 1979 in the Plantation Industry. He began as a field Supervisor in Kuala Lumpur Kepong in 1979 and joined Boustead as an Assistant Manager in 1982.

During his career in the Plantation Industry for 42 years, he worked for Malaysian, Foreign, Multi-National and Public Listed Companies in Senior Management positions. 

He has worked in Sabah, Peninsular Malaysia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea in various positions from General Manager, Head of Plantations, Chief Operating Officer to Chief Executive Officer. 

Over the years, he have managed different crops from Rubber, Oil Palm, Cocoa, Coconut, Sago, Forestry, Palm Oil Mills, Sago Factory and well-versed in the field of sustainability and mechanization. 

Mr. Peter joined United Malacca Berhad as Chief Executive Officer on 1 May 2014 until his retirement on 30 June 2021.
