Lim is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He also holds a Certificate of Investor Relations from the Investor Relations Society, United Kingdom.

He joined TIME Engineering Berhad ("TEB" or "the Company") in December 1995, after six years in public accounting. He served as Head, Corporate Services Division of the Company since January 2009 before assuming the position as Head of Finance in October 2011.

In his financial leadership position in the Company, Lim has advised the Group’s leadership on numerous project-financing arrangements, structured corporate debts and schemes of arrangements and represented the Company in several listing exercises. He was also involved in the asset-backed Sukuk Musyarakah Issuance Programme of up to Nominal Value of RM2,500 million, recognised as the first rated Sukuk Musyarakah in the world.

Lim spearheads a team of professionals providing business support and processes across finance. He also oversees the Corporate Performance and Risk Management team.
