Farnida has over 20 years of experience in a broad range of industries including media, telecommunication, plantation, oil and gas, property development, transportation and manufacturing. Her vast experience covers the field of accounting, finance, business assurance and various corporate transactions, namely mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, corporate bond issuance, corporate restructuring and transformation.

Farnida spent 10 years of her career in Big Four accounting firms, where she worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers for six years and KPMG for four years. She then left KPMG in 2009 to join Big Tree Outdoor Sdn Bhd, one of Media Prima Berhad's ("MPB") subsidiaries. Subsequently, she was promoted to MPB Group. Her last role in MPB was as the Group Chief Financial Officer and Joint Company Secretary and was responsible for the Group's functions on finance, treasury, corporate finance, investor relations, IT, management services and legal and secretarial. Over the last 10 years, she has been very instrumental in the restructuring and transformation of MPB Group.
