Encik Al-Ishsal started his career with Turnaround Managers Inc before embarking into entrepreneurial endeavours mostly in the digital space from 1994 to 2008. He also had a stint as the Chief Digital Officer of McCann Ericsson Worldgroup, Chief Executive Officer of Baraka Telecom (a Kuwaiti-owned outfit), Senior Vice President, Marketing & Products, Malaysia Airlines Berhad, Group Head Ancillary Income, AirAsia and held various senior positions in Tune Group.

He was on the Board of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDeC) and a former council member of National Technology Information Council (NITC).

He was the Managing Director, South East Asia of ECO Capacity Exchange Ltd (London) as well as trainer and consultant for Airbus group before joining Pos Malaysia Berhad.
