Mr. Lai Su Yin had more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting during his tenure with PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd from 1995 to 2016. He had been involved mainly in the overall finance functions such as handling General Ledger, Billing, Accounts Payable and Treasury, Taxation and Cost Allocation, performing Cost Analysis and Management Reporting, promoting cost saving measures, assessment of organisation performance, provision of consultancy services for organisation performance improvement and development of an improvement intervention plan as well as monitoring the results through structured tools. His last position in PETRONAS as Senior Manager (Joint Venture Finance) required him to manage business operations with operators (partner) to ensure company's investments are safe-guarded and maximised through budget reviewing/monitoring, actual expenditure controlling and project financial evaluation. Prior to joining Suria, he was attached with Acacia Forest Industries Sdn Bhd as Financial Controller since 2017, where he was in-charged of managing finance, administration and IT functions of a Forestry company, providing financial reports on performance of business operations, cashflow analysis, budget preparation and monitoring, shares conversion arrangement and other financial analysis for Board's information and decision-making.
