Mr Tam holds a degree in Accountancy from Universiti Malaya and is an accredited Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). 

His most recent appointments are as Chief Financial Officer of two (2) public listed companies, with extensive focus on property development and construction. 

Mr Tam has more than 18 years of experience in the areas of audit, finance, corporate finance and treasury. He started his career as an audit assistant with KPMG in 1999 and progressed upwards by joining a fund management company before moving to Sunway Holdings Incorporated Berhad, a top Malaysian group in the property and construction industry. 

During his tenure with this Bursa Main Board-listed group, he was tasked with finance functions in various industries including property development, construction, manufacturing of building materials and trading. He was also seconded to China for three (3) years to set up the group's China operations and helmed the position of Chief Financial Officer of China Operations. 

Subsequently in 2011, Mr Tam was appointed Head of Finance of Encorp Berhad, a Bursa Main Board-listed group with its core activities in property development and construction which went on to develop one of Klang Valley's award winning commercial and residential projects. 

In 2014, Mr Tam assumed his appointment as Chief Financial Officer of PRG Holdings Berhad, another Bursa Main Board-listed group with very established manufacturing operations in Malaysia and IndoChina in which he was tasked to lead the group's diversification into property development and construction. 

Mr Tam's management experience included the areas of finance, corporate finance, capital management, treasury function, audit and compliance for listed companies.
