The Notice of Share Buy pursuant to Section 127(16) of the Companies Act 2016 is only lodged with Registrar of Companies today because the Companies Commission of Malaysia ("CCM") was closed during the Movement Control Order period, making lodgement within 14 days from the purchase of the shares not possible. The CCM had advised that statutory filings could only be made when CCM reopens its offices.
