Reason	On 14 January 2002, The Sanwa Bank, Limited ("Sanwa") (now known as UFJ Bank Limited) became a substantial shareholder in AMMB Holdings Berhad ("AHB") pursuant to a merger between Sanwa and The Tokai Bank, Limited ("Tokai") in Japan effective 15 January 2002. As a result of the merger, all the assets and liabilities of Tokai (including the 115,500,000 ordinary shares in AHB) have been succeeded to by Sanwa, the surviving entity.
