# These shares were acquired by AAA arising from an under-subscription in the underwriting commitment pursuant to Eastern & Oriental Berhad ("E&O") Right Issues in May 2001. AAA became a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Dynamic Pearl Sdn Bhd ("DPSB")in August 2001.
Multi-Purpose Holdings Berhad ("MPHB") has an indirect interest in these shares by virtue of Section 6A(4) of the Companies Act, 1965 held through:
1. Multi-Purpose Capital Holdings Berhad, a subsidiary of MPHB, which in turn has an indirect interest held through its wholly-owned, MPIB, which has a direct interest in E&O.
2. DPSB, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MPHB, which in turn has an indirect interest held through its wholly-owned, AAA, which has a direct interest in E&O.
Quantum Aspects Sdn Bhd is deemed to have indirect interest in E&O by virtue of Section 6A(4) of the Companies Act, 1965 held through MPHB.
