The Board of Directors of Malayan BankingBerhad (the "Company") wishes to announce that the resolutionset out in the Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting ("EGM") dated 28 March2018and tabled at the EGM of the Company held today, 12April 2018wasduly passed by the shareholders of the Company at the said EGM.

The resolution wasvoted by poll and the results of the poll were validated by Messrs. Deloitte Enterprise Risk Services Sdn Bhd., the independent scrutineers appointed by the Company.
