He wanted to protect American $$. Remember they even went to war when two Arab leaders wanted to trade oil in other currencies? He sent carriers and ships to frighten China but to no avail as China is now well equipped to par down these threats.
This is another show down between them.
On 26 March China will begin oil trade in Yuan. We will see the effect on American $$ in days to come.
The world is getting tired of the American using their printed $$ to "force feed" others using their military might but nobody dares to stand up against them.
Now someone tries.
