I bought Netx! today

Better sell blue chip like Dlady, Nestle & others as Foreign Funds afraid of Capital control! They are afraid of capital locked in

SO BUY NETX, OPCOM & REDTONE AS THESE ARE SAFE STOCKS DUE TO NFCP RM50 BILLIONS FIBERISATION THRUST

YOU DON'T WAIT TO SELL NESTLE ABOVE RM140.00

YOU SELL NESTLE FIRST THEN WAIT

IN YEAR 1997/8 WHEN MALAYSIA IMPOSED CAPITAL CONTROL FOREIGN FUND SOLD DOWN NESTLE TO RM11.80

SO IT IS NOT A QUESTION OF FUNDAMENTAL DURING CRISIS

SELL NESTLE NOW AS RISK AND REWARD UNFAVOURABLE

NETSLE will be used as a charity to help others

LONDON (Reuters) - Oil steadied near $32 a barrel on Wednesday, supported by hopes that a meeting between OPEC members and allied producers on Thursday will trigger output cuts to shore up prices that have collapsed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Thursday's videoconference meeting between the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allies including Russia is expected to be more successful than their gathering in March, which ended in a failure to extend supply cuts and a price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia.

"The coming extraordinary producing-countries meeting is the only hope on the horizon for the market," said Bjornar Tonhaugen of Rystad Energy.

"Nobody wants to go short ahead of what could be a 'positive surprise' by OPEC++."

Brent crude (LCOc1) was down 9 cents, or 0.3%, at $31.78 by 0837 GMT after falling 3.6% on Tuesday. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude (CLc1) rose 94 cents to $24.87.

Crude has collapsed in 2020 because of a slide in demand due to the coronavirus outbreak and excess supply. Brent dropped to $21.65, its lowest since 2002, on March 30.

While OPEC sources have said a deal to cut production is conditional on the participation of the United States, doubts remain as to whether Washington will contribute.

The U.S. Department of Energy said on Tuesday U.S. output was already declining, without government action.

U.S. crude production is expected to slump by 470,000 bpd and and demand is set to drop by about 1.3 million bpd in 2020, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Tuesday.

Before the OPEC and other producers' meeting, the latest round of U.S. oil inventory data will be in focus on Wednesday.

In a sign of excess supply, the American Petroleum Institute, an industry group, said U.S. crude inventories jumped by 11.9 million barrels. The government's supply report is due at 1430 GMT.

sources from

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/downstream.asp

Downstream operations are the processes involved with converting oil and gas into their finished products.

There are upstream, midstream, and downstream operations within the oil and gas industries.

Downstream operations can also play a part in the medical field and agriculture sector.

Companies that handle operations in the downstream sector are entities closest to the customers.

An oversupply of crude oil in the upstream section (i.e., the oil companies) may benefit the downstream companies.

When oil price fall profit margin increase for downstream oil and gas.So have more money to buy more land for futures expansion.

U.S. crude prices turned negative the first time in history on Monday, with virtually zero buyers turning up for prompt delivery oil in a market woefully glutted by the coronavirus pandemic.

West Texas Intermediate crude futures for May delivery fell to a session low of $40.32 per barrel and settled the day at minus $37.63. That meant a notional loss of $55.90 per barrel from its Friday settlement of $18.27.

June WTI, which Investing.com is already quoting as reference for U.S. crude given its outsize volume to May, settled at $20.43 per barrel, down $4.60 or 18.4% from Friday’s settlement.

Brent, the London-traded global benchmark for crude, meanwhile, lost $2.51 on its front month June contract to settle down 9% at $25.57. June Brent was at a contango, or discount, of more than $4 to July Brent. Even more important, its differential to WTI — a big trade in oil — was at an unimaginable $63.

“I am worried about the dislocation of the WTI - Brent spread,” Igor Windisch of the IBW Daily Oil Brief said in a note Monday. “The worrying thing is that there is no support line for Brent.”

Since WTI futures began trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange in April 1983, the lowest the U.S. crude benchmark had gotten to prior to this was $9.75 in April 1986.

“What this tells you is that there’s just a mega glut of oil out there, that’s not going to be clearing anytime soon,” said John Kilduff, founding partner at New York energy hedge fund Again Capital.

“As a matter of fact, we have a big problem on our hands in terms of storage,” Kilduff added. “The storage situation is filling up and refiners aren’t buying, motorists aren’t buying. nobody is buying; so there’s just a tremendous back up of crude oil throughout the system and you have to pay dearly now if you want somebody to take it off your hands.”

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic that’s destroying demand for oil faster than producers can cut, the market has been laser-focused on how much storage is left globally for crude and whether that will run out soon.
