topglove news on 20% cut on workers for cost savings, is a good catalyst for all glove stocks... especially now that most of glove stocks should be about to finish doing the bottoming process for the next phase of growth...

they love to choose end of month, when they finally killed all CW expiry holders... :)... for superman, breaking 1.56 with volume, will be good, coz it successfully broke out from the downtrend triangle and start a new phase of uptrend... lets see...

Superman and Topglov are the 2 early ones challenging EMA34... with so far topglov successfully standing above and superman still facing resistance... hopefully end of day should see it cross, with the EMA13 to corss EMA34 soon in the coming days..

I bought quite high wor.at 1.55 and then it slipped back to touch the lowest 1.40. Luckily gloves stock start moving and helps it to recover back at today 1.51 . Hope it can continued to run smoothly and not dropped back half way through . Still hold on to my faith for further uptrend.if the market persist to do well . Best of luck to all here ! Yum cha first..... very thirsty Liao oooo..

Still got big triangle to need to breakout, based on MACD... that would put the price breakout at 1.70... hmm... looks like still a hurdle to go...

Wiki this superman can it return to 1.7 and above?

wiki123

re: wincloud, of course it can... as long as it builds up its production capacity, dont see any reason why not... but it needs to stand above EMA200 to be really getting the engine going on... EMA13 still not cross EMA34, so still need some effort... if you can, then draw some lines on the chart, you can see this is a triangle... it's trying to break out of it, but it still needs time...

Export-oriented companies may also do well as the ringgit has been weakening against the US dollar this week, HLIB Research said, targeting a level of 4.15 against the greenback.

"We like Supermax Corp Bhd in this segment," it said.

Helping hand - Malaysia to supply 63 pct of 300b global rubber glove demand

The global demand for rubber gloves is estimated to reach 300 billion gloves this year, with an expected annual growth of 12 per cent, according to the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (Margma).

It said out of the total, 188 billion gloves would be produced by Malaysia, which is the world’s largest producer and leading exporter of rubber gloves, contributing 63 per cent of global supply, followed by Thailand (18 per cent), China (10 per cent) and Indonesia (3.0 per cent).

The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), the government agency that oversees and drives investment into the manufacturing and services sectors, quoted Margma in its e-newsletter for March 2019.

The e-newsletter is MIDA’s monthly industry update for global investors.

Meanwhile, MIDA has projected that export revenue for rubber gloves will reach RM19.88 billion this year, up from the RM18.8 billion estimated by industrial players in 2018.

“Notably, made-in-Malaysia rubber gloves are expected to be exported to over 195 countries worldwide in 2019,” it said.

MIDA said overall, the global market for the medical rubber gloves industry showed a positive trend, driven by the increase in the world standard of healthcare and the ageing world population.

But as the (medical glove) industry becomes more competitive, rubber glove manufacturers were investing heavily in automation as part of efforts to combat rising labour costs and to increase production efficiency, it said.

In line with this, MIDA continues to encourage global Industry 4.0 technology providers and industrial automation solution providers to connect with the medical glove manufacturers.

Among the manufacturers, Top Glove Corporation Bhd, the world’s largest rubber glove manufacturer, has been aggressively pursuing expansion and continues to strategically digitise its operation.

The company is currently focusing on automating its production lines and is improving efficiency by using data to drive automation in the company.

Meanwhile, the largest nitrile glove producer globally, Hartalega Holdings Bhd, has invested over RM14 million to upgrade its enterprise resource planning system as part of its commitment towards realising Industry 4.0.
