Thought of the day..

If you make love once everyday, you will consume only 30 condoms per month..

Nurses and Doctors around the world are using at least 10-50 pairs of glove per day every days vs 1 condom per day..

That's why there's a shortage of Gloves everywhere.

Price for Fantastic 4 took a dive last week..

If this trend continues next week, Mabel is very tempted to collect next week..

Please share when it will drop to RM 4 as this News really makes Mabel very moist and very itchy to buy...

When crisis hit during March. Glove counters stood firm. This time the pandemic daily case has doubled of previous months. Funds have not sell gloves, they’re waiting to collect from panic retailers. I know because Im a back end officer in the investment banking line. Fubd managers did not sell healthcare stocks, instead they bought more

All the Analysing is of no use. Ant Group IPO subscription is worth almost 8 times the GDP of Malaysia. No doubt Top Glove is severely undervalued. Can't wait for it to list in Hongkong

Windfall tax windfall tax huh.lol
please read this first
https://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/kltrader/2020-07-21-story-h1510638764-Malaysia_Rubber_Gloves_ndash_Is_a_Windfall_Tax_Possible.jsp

Not even 0.1% of GDP lol.. why does the govn even care also. Lol
Of course the extra 10% will be subject to revenue size n tax rate.

Tax rate ~ 24%, the 4 gloves companies are paying $$ in taxes now
TG 297mil
Harta 133mil
Kossan 28mil
Supermax 236mil

Gloves profit now after tax (pat)
TG 1300mil
Harta 549mil
Kossan 132mil
Supermax 812mil

If windfall tax, lets add an extra 10% to be tax
TG 162mil
Harta 68.2mil
Kossan 16mil
Supermax 104mil

How much percentage eating into profits now?
TG 162mil/1300 = 12%
Harta 68.2mil/549 = 12%
Kossan 16mil/132 = 12%
Supermax 104mil/812 = 12.8%

Aiyoooooooooooo what is an extra 12% to be taxed laaaaaa

DUH!!!!!

Whenever there is an iota of chance, this Mcqbabi will want to heap on it. Already proven Prank-lembu RM5.40 is way way of especially now top 4 glove companies have their FY2022 figure rather firm up, and looking to spill into FY2023, which the Mcqbabi only apply to glove counters!!

@DickyMe DONALD TRUMP will continue to be President for second time.
01/11/2020 11:19 PM

A couple of months ago, I was sceptical of his chances, but I think his chances of being re-elected have gone up considerably with the COVID-19 pandemic. This may sound counterintuitive since the US economy was doing much better before the pandemic.

Clinton won in 1992 by promising to fix the broken economy after a recession. Bush won in 2000 by saying he would bring family values back to the white house. Obama won by promising to fix the economy and end the wars in the middle east, and by offering hope to a nation that was beginning to lose it. Whether or not you like these presidents and their platforms, you have to admit that they worked.

Fast forward to 2016. Trump won by promising to kick immigrants out of the country and to expand the manufacturing sector. Trump won by making people angry, by rousing the kind of nationalistic fervour that has not been seen in America in decades.

His platform worked even when the overall economy was doing well and unemployment rate was under 5% because many people (especially, in the mid-west), felt that they were being left behind.

Now, if the economy was doing very well, Trump would have a harder time convincing his base to be angry. Yes, he would have gained some support among moderates but that would be a small number. Most people who don’t support Trump, would not vote for him even anyway. Moreover, Trump’s base is actually very small, much smaller than other recent presidents, and he needs every one of them to be angry to win.

With the economy now in shambles, Trump’s job will be easy. When 25M Americans are unemployed, Trump’s message about foreigners stealing jobs from Americans will be much more powerful. When the stores are running out of basic supplies, Trump’s call to expand the manufacturing sector will be cheered even more by his base. When the corn and soya plantation surge to new high, they impose ridiculous ban on our palm oil to help his farmer voters.

When countries which did a competent job in controlling the pandemic start to move ahead of the US, Trump’s call for nationalism will be met with more fervour by his supporters. I think Trump has begun to realize this. He’s started attacking China for this very reason and I think that we’ll hear a lot more of this until the election. Democrats can’t defend China in this. And they can’t attack China without making it sound like Trump was right all along about China. They are stuck between a rock and a hard place on this issue.

In reality, less than 50% of the American population go to vote for the Presidency. If Trump can get 26% of the population to believe him, he's going to win again. That looks quite easy considering nearly everyone in the farm & rural states will support him.

A report by CNN lists down the ways that Trump can LEGALLY & WITHIN THE U.S. CONSTITUTION BLOCK Biden from taking over even he lose the Election; & for sure all his team & lawyers are well-prepared to do this. Trump will not leave the White House win or lose. He will complete his 2nd term. This is why I also think Trump is likely to win in November.

Let us not hedge about one thing. Donald Trump may win or lose, but he will never concede...

Just to put the record straight. I'm not a big fan of Trump. When sitting American presidents run for re-election, recent history shows they usually win. The three most recent presidents before Donald Trump – Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton – were all successful in winning two elections and securing a second term.

During the last US Presidential election, almost all the mainstream media including CNN, BBC and others were just so anti Trump. It certainly backfired on them. It has also severely damaged the credibility of the mainstream media again. And they have also done a great disservice by misinforming the public, including thousands in Malaysia who really don’t know why they wanted to support Hillary.

I noticed throughout the campaign that the comments sections in Yahoo, Twitter and Facebook were strongly in favor of Trump - not Hillary. Others must have seen it too but deliberately chose to ignore those comments. Hence another learning here is never ignored the Alternative Media.

It is said that that Speech that Trump made on the 8th November was the turning point to move the American people to vote for him. I listen to that Speech and I was really inspired even though I’m not an American. Hence another learning- Timing is key!

In Management when we want to make big changes we often talked about "change agent”. Perhaps that’s what American is voting for …

If you read Philip Tetlock’s book Superforecasting and one thing that sets superforecasters apart from average forecasters is probabilistic thinking. They say ‘judgement is going to hurt your forecast, just go with the data’. They also don’t have problems to switch stand points and see things from different perspectives. Two very, very difficult things to manage, to just turn off your subjectivity completely… As pointed out earlier, media was very anti-Trump and subjective and together with polls suggesting Hillary to win, we more or less got a distorted view on reality. If Hillary would have won the same (subjective) media would have said ‘it was meant to be’.

In Tetlock’s book PollyVote it is is mentioned, it is an evidence-based forecasting project that has been running since 2004 to predict who will be the next President of the USA. It has been extremely successful. In 2004 for instance it forecasted George W Bush would get 51.5% of the popular vote, he got 51.2%! In 2008 Obama was predicted to get 53.9% and he got 53.7%! In 2012 it predicted Obama to get 51.2% and he got 52%!

PollyVote relies on a compilation of forecasts across various methods and sources (polls, interviews, expert predictions, economic models etc), hence, it has done a great job of boiling down differing views into one objective forecast. PollyVote had another great year! Trump was predicted to get 47.6% and got 47.2% of the popular vote. Still, PollyVote did not pick the winner… It suggested Hillary to get the majority vote (which she did, more voted on her in absolute numbers) BUT Trump won in the states with more electoral seats. So, even the super objective, un-biased PollyVote failed.

In summary, the Clinton team (and the rest of the world) just re-learned this old lesson....How you look at data is more important than what data you have...

Nothing

Absolute nothing other than:

1. making enemies with basically everybody else on the planet, including his European allies

2. causing disruption to global economy on the biggest scale with his endless 'trade wars' with everybody

3. mismanaging covid-19 to the point of letting nearly a quarter million Americans die needlessly from covid-19

4. completely mishandling race relations in US

The major reasons?

1. A failure of political leadership at all levels;

2. A distrust of scientists, the media and expertise in general; and

3. Deeply ingrained cultural attitudes about individuality and the values placed on life have all combined to result in a horrifically inadequate pandemic response compared to what are traditionally considered the U.S.’s peer nations.
