That interest is not mandatory or contract like FD la. Those who cried consult Financial Experts is the one whom never did. The oil price rebound to usd50 by 2020 year end? It can be achievable if something goes wrong at middle East or OPEC+ conduct massive production cut. I really hope you people don't invest base on opinion in forum. Do your homework please

And yes, if the asset acquisition is at very attractive price then it will boost up the share price, but that time. I believe those shares already done conversion at the lowest mother share price. They have already gain massive amount Hibiscus mother share.

Not bragging here, me and my husband are qualified for the PP. I myself have been accumulating its share for 5 months now. We have also approached CIMB ystd. That's why I am here to clarify matters.

Please pay a visit to CIMB or HLIB if you are in doubt.

I agree it not certain to say price will be go to 66sen or above when near Nov, these big buyer mostly looking for long term, but they want to buy in big chunk, like 200m or 1b share, this provided a good opportunities. If u buy in market, u have to at least sucking 80percent, at that time u almost buy all company.

I take alot of positives from today Star Biz article on Hisbiscus.
1. Net Cash position of 77m
2. Debt of 14.4 m only.
3. Operating expenditure per barrel of oil is below USD$15
4. Both Public Bank and Alliance Bank IB positive on Hibiscus.
Warrants conversion price is $1.12. Unlikely to be excersied.

@micsoh, yes if the big boss in Hibiscus is black hearted taking that approach, he will get massive of new shares. It is GG for small retailers like us with massive dilution. In bottom of my heart, I hope that will not happen but it is beyond our control

There is one clause called mandatory conversion.Say if company acquire asset which is 25% of fund raise,CRPS holders will be forced to convert their CPRS into ordinary shares based on 25%.For example If they have used 500mil to acquire asset, then 500/2000mil x 100%=25%.So if you hold 100k CPRS,then 25k of your shares will be forced to convert.

My concern is how good the asset it acquired. If asset is good and volume is big, the price maybe two times of now.

personal think is good move under current situation to acquire more oil field... friday i buy in 500lot at 0.51 and going to increase if the price drop again.... this remember me during that time they acquire shell north sabah and Anasuria....yes this time the money raise very big amount but convert to USD actually no much...just wonder which oil field they targeted...

hope they can complete as soon as possible because current situation is good timing to acquire oil field with reasonable price....

once they acquire complete and oil price recover... i think hibiscus value and price will move up a lot!!!

with good management and good control operation is needed....

@Ken Yes, the current low oil price is not an ally to Hibi. The management has to come up with something to make the deal more attractive for investors by pushing up the share price. Or the plan will become more or less redundant.

Hibi should take clue from TG :)

When market is hot, it is definitely good for management to:
(1) ask for $$$.
(2) one time write off.
(3) news to diversify, consolidate.
(4) bonus issue.
(5) buy back to show confident (instead of higher dividend)
.... lol.

These are copy paste from 27 pages of “announcement” documents from Hibiscus website. What will happen to Hibiscus common shares if Hibiscus is able to raise total of RM 2 Billion ( issue 2 Billion unit of CRPS ) with the first tranche of CRPS only.

Scenario 1 : optional conversion
the CRPS holders are provided with an option to convert all or part of their CRPS into new Hibiscus Shares at any time during the Conversion Period. --page 17
→ That means, CRPS holders can convert their CRPS to Hibiscus new common shares anytime they want. But they only can make profit if the Hibiscus market price is more than RM 0.66.
→ If the Hibiscus market price is less than RM 0.66, most likely the CRPS holders will hold their CRPS and enjoy the 4% of dividend per year.

Scenario 2 : Mandatory conversion
i) Upon completion of an Acquisition at any time up to 30 days before the Maturity Date, the CRPS will be mandatorily converted into new Hibiscus Shares at the Conversion Price --page 5
ii) minimises unnecessary dilution to the existing shareholders as the CRPS are mandatorily converted only in the event of Acquisitions. --page 17
→ That means, if the Hibiscus market price lower than RM 0.66 and nobody converts their CRPS to new Hibiscus shares, if Hibiscus uses up all the RM 2 Billion to buy 3 producing assets, all these 2 Billion units of CRPS will be converted automatically to 3.03 Billion of new Hibiscus common shares with conversion price RM 0.66.
→ If Hibiscus is able to raise RM 2 Billion but just uses RM 1 Billion to buy 1 or 2 producing assets, only 1 Billion units of CRPS will be converted automatically to 1.515 Billion of new Hibiscus common shares with conversion price RM 0.66, regardless the Hibiscus market price is less than RM 0.66. The remaining CRPS holders will continue to enjoy the 4% of dividend per year and wait until the Hibiscus market price more than RM 0.66

Scenario 3 : Redemption
i)All the outstanding CRPS shall be mandatorily redeemed by the Company in one lump sum, at the Redemption Price, on the Maturity Date,.... --page 5
ii) Any remaining amount after the Permitted Utilisation will be returned to the respective CRPS holders by way of Mandatory Redemption by the Company on the Maturity Date, subject to compliance with the Act. --page 9
iii) Any Net Proceeds not utilised (net of optional conversion) will be returned to the CRPS holders upon redemption at maturity or Hibiscus Petroleum may, at the end of the 18th month from the First Tranche Issue Date,.... --page 17
→ If Hibiscus is able to raise RM 2 Billion but just uses RM 1 Billion only, Hibiscus will return this extra RM 1 Billion to remaining CRPS holders, with extra 4% of dividend per year ( Redemption price ). This will minimize dilution of Hibiscus common shares.

**Maturity date : The day which is the 2nd anniversary of the date on which the first tranche of the CRPS is issued (“First Tranche Issue Date”). --page 3
→ 1st anniversary is 12 months, 2nd anniversary is 24 months. That means 24 months from First Tranche Issue Date.

Yes current brent crude oil price no in good price... due to the demand no pick up.... will current price stay forever ?

i will said hibiscus very brave to make this move... at this moment no one dare to make an investment and most of the company will cut cost, sell assets, and stop investment...some even move to glove industry.

i would like to give good thumb to hibiscus management team for their brave and effort.
during this year april i buy in 0.450 after that i sell off at 0.71 gain some money....

now i enter back to 0.51, waiting to load second batch if there low then 0.51.
all the vaccine in 3rd phase and china in leading.. if vaccine is ready to use i think the economic and oil demand will pick up...

Hopefully hibiscus able to complete acquire new oil field before the vaccine is approve....

Correct, the oil price won't stay low forever, but hoping the price bounce back above 0.66 on November without looking at oil markets is a gambling. I doubt any investor will not ask for massive discount on the conversion rate at 0.66

what i want to highlight is during current situation oil and gas industry not look good and oil price at low level...how the company perform, maintain and run the business will depend on the management team.

i believe Hibiscus management have a very good experience team to handle current situation base on pass record even all of us know current situation is damn damn challenge compare to previous situation.

is a good timing for us evaluate the company management we invest and ask our self what are investing.

happy investing...

OPEC just lower the forecast for year 2020 and 2021.investing in this counter for long term. The price won't have any bull run at short term. You need to be realistic to the current oil market.
