Brent oil price in June 2013 till Dec 2013 was ranging USD 100-117.

With current low Brent price, hopefully Hibiscus can get a good bargain

Budget 2021 expected to be expansionary Monday, 21 Sep 2020
By DALJIT DHESI
https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2020/09/21/budget-2021-expected-to-be-expansionary

PETALING JAYA: Budget 2021, which will be tabled in November, will be expansionary though narrower than Budget 2020, with economists projecting a budget deficit of 4% to 6% next year.

The government, they said, would need to revitalise the economy with appropriate measures due to the uncertainties arising from the Covid-19 and the weak global economy, which has caused many nations to fall into recession.

The World Bank expects Malaysia’s fiscal deficit to gross domestic product (GDP) to widen to 7% this year, underpinned by increased expenditure and downward pressure on revenue. The government, however, expects the fiscal deficit to be at 5.8% to 6% this year.

Economists expect the government to look into some core areas to ensure Malaysia is on the right track to achieve economic sustainability post-pandemic.

Socio-Economic Research Centre executive director Lee Heng Guie told StarBiz that the federal government is torn between managing a tight fiscal space and keeping the country’s sovereign rating intact.

"In our view, the government should go for another year of fiscal deficit targeted at public spending and programmes as well as the provision of tax incentives and allowances to boost private investment, creating jobs and income.

Pereira said Hibiscus’ business performance is most sensitive to crude oil price and demand. He expects economies and crude oil price to recover gradually.

What is important is the ability to survive through this period of uncertainty, he added.

In this regard, Hibiscus has little or no debt, a low operating cost structure and a dedicated workforce determined to keep operations going for a product that has a market, albeit at a softer price.

“I do see recovery for the global economy, which would also mean the O&G sector will recover..

Big sharks are required to push the price. Oil up 5% Hibi only up 1-2%....but oil down 1% Hibi down 1% too...

Still have to wait a while until oil is above usd45..

Of course, the table turns early if Hibi succeeds in purchasing ExxonMobil. It is now shortlisted, among 2 others.

I'm average down pricing again to 569, if it go down further will get more.. Since Saudi is taking 50-55USD estimation of oil price in 2021 in their budget.. Im not too worried on current pricing..like @allyoucanbuy said, if all things fail..I sell on 2022

Oil price has been predicted to hit usd90 per barrel in 2022 through into 2023, then scale down to usd65 in 2024. Buy Hibi is better than keeping the money in the savings account. Hope you guys can see the perspective.

On behalf of the Board, HLIB and CIMB wish to announce that Dr. Kenneth Gerard Pereira (“Dr. Kenneth”) had on 8 October 2020, declared his intention to participate in the book-building exercise to be carried out in relation to the Proposed Private Placement of CRPS by subscribing in cash for a minimum of 8,000,000 and up to 50,000,000 CRPS at an issue price of RM1.00 per CRPS.

It is such a pity where hibiscus more and more disalign with oil price. Now oil price back to 42usd/bbl, but hib still stuck at 50c. Well, guess everyone just dont like oil sgock now due to its volatility

@linheng That's because the market still perceives oil in high volatility. The breakout price will be usd45-usd48, along with the approval of Covid-19 vaccine(s) by end of the year. That's when O&G counters start to become popular.

Dr Kenneth Gerard Pereira is the founder and Managing Director of Hibiscus since 2010.

According to Financial statements end 30 June 2020, page 102 , Dr Kenneth's total annual salary, bonus and benefits for FY2020 were around RM 5 millions.

Dr Kenneth is willing to invest his hard earn money from RM 8 millions to RM 50 millions to purchase CRPS, with conversion price of RM 0.66.

If we believe in Dr Kenneth, why we still hesitate to buy Hibiscus with RM 0.51 ?

For 45c, you may need to wait till the oil price drop to USD35 - USD38, if the stimulus talk in US is off, you may get a chance to buy a 45c hibi.. the current price is holding at 42 to 43 is due to Delta Huricane, Norway Protest and Stimulus Hope...Since hurricane is gone and Norway protest has settled last Friday, our last hope is US 1.8t stimulus package
