Investmon with US and Europe economies normalizing, and borders opening, chocolate consumption will rise in these countries. It will be good for Guan Chong. Time to buy some now.

2Invest Thanks for the sharing @newbie2828. The increase of grinding capacity is a good sign, but cost of shipment may wipe up a BIG portion of GCB profit. That's also happened to JBFoods & many exporters.

2Invest Good for everyone. Set to clear all at 3.++ & buy at 2.++. Boss is converting WB to mother shares at 1.65. Can't expect any lower than that unless massive market crash happen.

Ivory is expected to be completed by 1Q2022. Result will only be reflected on 2nd or 3rd quarter if everything is on schedule.

Fabien _the efficient capital allocator GCB is a proxy of post covid recovery play. With EU & US borders opening up for tourism, expect certain levels of pent-up demand to boost recovery.

GCB is 4th largest cocoa grinder in the world. Current market cap is 3bil-ish, trailing PER is around 18x.

With Ivory Coast commissioning expected in 2H2022, they are in a sweet spot to ride the recovery.
31/08/2021 7:32 PM
Fabien _the efficient capital allocator Their acquisition of SCHOKINAG in January last year allows them an immediate access to the European market. The Ivory Coast expansion is targeted to increase sales..about half of grinding capacity to be supplied to SCHOKINAG.
