PureBULL ... ATAIMS is not yet in the export ban list to the USA:
the 3 contracts manufacturing with Dyson is still valid till Jun 2022.
if andy.hall n konsultan say everything's ok in next 2 months time, what will happen?

stockwinner .

Dyson terminate ATA (BIG EMS) ---> Dyson Supply & Operation Disruption ----> Dyson customer ANGRY ----> Dyson revenue decline / competitor capture their market share ----> Dyson INVESTORS VERY ANGRY ----> Dyson forgive ATA -----> Dyson & ATA Problem solved -----> Share price Rebound??

The only Win-Win situation for both side is that ATA to clarify the 'possible misunderstanding', then Dyson to accept their explanation and everything returns to normal.

If ATA really that bad to its worker, you think Dyson can escape the responsibility after using the EMS for so many years? Dyson never review/ monitor their supplier ka??

Business ma. Who wants to kacau their own business?

Small issue, big fuss ----> Market overacted.

Let's see how the market/ shareholder respond to the issue on Monday, after they Cool Down / Recover from Panic Attack.

oskchoon Andy Hall, ILO charged forced labour allegations on EMS industries, first victim Ataims, then now VS, next shouks be SKP... trade cautiously on Monday morning..
03/12/2021 10:14 AM
Mini2021 In ATA i trust
03/12/2021 10:17 AM
oskchoon Some one suggested the only way to make those poor but ungrateful migrant workers happy is to grant them all the citizenship of Malaysia and to treat them with Bumiputra status, so no more worries from migrant workers to complain about forced labour allegations issues to Andy Hall and ILO forever, at the same time no more shortage of people working in Plantation, Glove, EMS, Construction sectors, isn't it perfect solution..
03/12/2021 10:31 AM
oskchoon If our Malaysian government thinking that migrant workers complaining abuse and forced labour allegations are true, then we Malaysians are cruel and heartless people who likes to abuse migrant workers now and then..
03/12/2021 10:50 AM
PureBULL ... ONLY andy.hall n konsultan r experts at writing thesis to US authority to ban exporters to the US.

the best n cheapest way is to employ these pure kwailors as auditors.
tg did..
03/12/2021 11:45 AM
OTB I believe PureBull talks with sense.
Force labour statement is a big bully to Malaysian firm.
I believe a good company will find good customers later.
I will also consider to buy when buy signal appears.
Thank you.

Kevin Tam With the forced labour issues haunting glove manufacturers then now targeting ATAIMs n VS, it is obvious huge manufacturers rely too much on migrant workers n it looks like they r more likely to file complaints to those international/ US/ U.K. labour organisations than 4-5 years ago … The top management of many local manufacturers should speed up the process of more automation in production n hire more local employees… The government n Human resource ministry should look into the existed problems n giving some guidance to those large size manufacturers…

8899EL8899 foreign worker are getting bigger head, they got their demand with top glove, now their counterpart attacking others industries, hoping for some money from their employer.
03/12/2021 4:54 PM
oskchoon Sure, these ungrateful migrant workers knows that Ataims have RM 330 millions cash on hand, so they want these lum sum of money should be given to them and Andy Hall and ILO for them to withdraw the forced labour allegations and declaring Ataims is respecting human rights and take good care of the migrant workers..
03/12/2021 7:36 PM
sokowanda Company price drop because they admit that they have forced labour problems.

stockraider Do not talk rubbish loh!

Do u know how unproductive a local worker is leh ??

Study have shown 1 foreign worker is 3x more productive than the local mah!

Thus some companies rather spend more to take care of the foreign workers in order to ensure its sustainability of business loh!

Lu tau boh ?

Primary role of government is to care for it's OWN CITIZENS not foreign workers. The government must ensure locals are not unemployed and receive better remuneration and all benefits taken care.

If the government acts as a foreign workers agency then definitely these emboldens crooks to masquerade as agents. There will be no control on influx of foreign workers and certainly locals unemployment will sky rocket. This will attribute to social problems like increased crime, corruption, suppressed salary hence contribute to inflation.

Employers are blood suckers. Luckily I am not the HOME MINISTER, otherwise the business of foreign workers will be burnt to ashes.
Any employers insisting on foreign workers will be told to SHUTDOWN and shift their business elsewhere.

It does not matter if the industries DIE. BETTER the EMPLOYERS DIE instead of the RAKYAT. FOREIGN WORKERS ARE FOREIGNERS and have no business in enjoying CITIZENS RIGHTS.

FOR too long these employers are enjoying vulgar profit.

GLCs are main reason of foreign workers influx.

okdoke Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M Saravanan said in a statement that he had received information that the contract was terminated on mutual agreement between ATA IMS and the UK-based high-tech home appliance manufacturer, following problems of labour shortage faced by the ATA IMS subsidiary, ATA Industrial (M) Sdn Bhd. source TheEdge
Dyson stated termination due to forced labour, HR Minister stated ATA IMS and Dyson mutually termination due to labour shortage => Who tell the truth??
04/12/2021 10:11 AM
TrippleZ Both are telling the truth from their perspective.

What & Why move out leh ?

Just free up the control on foreign labors & let the companies employed whatever foreign & local labors they want mah!

Like that govt get tax revenue, local get quality appointment & the country economy can grow mah!

Everybody very happy mah!

One word. If a manufacturer is unable to invest in automation then move out the factories to low labor costs countries lor. It’s so simple.

investor2021trading i see DYSON is mostly at fault in this development! they reacted too harshly from d pressure of Andy Hall n from d labour activists, IDK, in UK n Singapore! they have lost a major supplier by doing so! However, they r not totally inconsiderate on their decision to terminate ATA's contract as they give ATA until June 2022 to resolve d matters! Whatever happened, ATA will have to pick-up from where they had fallen!

Outcome:
DYSON will lose more to get another major supplier like ATA!
ATA will surely find new customers to replace DYSON!
More competitors for DYSON on vacuums cleaners, purifiers n other EMS products arising from these tussles!

Kevin Tam Stock raider is not talking business sense as well ; EMS/ electronic manufacturers can provide much better paid/ salaries than Topglove or other smaller glove manufacturers n with the labour organisation keep targeting local manufacturers, it is wiser to hire more local workers to reduce the risk n more automation in production… The thought of local people don’t want to work in factories or one Bangladeshi equal to 3 local people in productivity , more like myth than fact … Yup, the working attitude of many Bumi then Chinese n Indians r below average when compare to migrant workers who willing to work 10 hours a day but after more than 20 years, the thought of rely on migrant workers is much better than hiring local or be balance in hiring still affecting the thoughts of many big bosses n top management of manufacturers…

stockraider Malaysia should use its competitive advantage now while still can mah!

Msia must use its competitive advantage like cheap labors, good infra, easy going, cheap cost of living mah!

To attract more investment loh!

With cheap cost living local can enjoy greater buying power & this is help & achieve by the very good productivity of foreign labors

Btw...in 20 yrs time msia no longer...cheap, rich & competitive bcos of corruption & wastages mah!

Then no labor problem mah....msia will be exporting msia labor & will be competing with bangla, combodia, nepal, phillipines and indonesia in the international market mah!

Think lah!

Rubbish lah!

Currently Cheap uneducated foreign workers are all we wanted mah!

This uneducated productive foreign workers will be most productive & they will create opportunity for better economic growth and greater quality employment opportunity for the local more loh!

Do not be BOLOH!

What turning point...if the policy are silly leh ??

We need foreign workers to keep the economics wheel moving mah!

If can fully automate why chose msia leh ??

Might as well stay put & do the full manufacturing at high cost countries like Germany, switzerland, Usa, Japan and Australia mah!
Since little labor is use mah!

They chose msia bcos cannot fully automate & cost of labor cheaper and have access to foreign labor mah!

stockraider need to have real productivity gain....in order to increase salary in order to avoid inflation loh!

Ask yourself can the local can beat the foreign labor in terms of productivity leh ?

Like 1 local can be 3 times more productive than the foreign labor or not ?

If yes u can pay the local Rm 4,500 & pay the foreign worker Rm 1,500 mah!

Like that productive gain...no inflation & no currency depreciation mah!

Lu tau boh ?

Many businesses are thinking of how to improve productivity through automation to move up the value chain. Our guy here wanted us to draw salary 20 years ago for Malaysia to remain competitive. wakaka
04/12/2021 12:51 PM
stockraider I remember i bought my 1st double storey house for Rm 170k, when i am earnings rm 4000 a mth mah! The bank interest rates was 12% pa loh!

Now this house cost Rm 950k....and the best interest rates is 3.6% pa loh! U need to earn Rm 10,000 per month mah!

Meaning the house price has appreciated 5.5x but the salary needed to afford this house need to appreciate by 2.5x only mah!

Meaning effectively u buy house cheaper now....base on your salary affordability compare to 25 years ago mah!

same with property price, so damn high beyond many salaryman affordability. high compliance cost, legal cost, conversion premium one of the factors. property developer sure transfer the cost to buyer. what have selangor Pakatun do to reduce the house price?

All these factors have linkages of cause & effects to our competitiveness & cost of livings mah!
