This will mark a sharp reversal from corporate Malaysia’s performance last year, where the revenues of most sectors suffered a double-digit plunge following the Covid-19 pandemic. 21/01/2021 8:49 AM Good123 Malaysia fokus pada IT, masa depan adalah sangat baik :) KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 20): Malaysia needs to be developed as a digital nation in the formation of the ASEAN digital economy bloc, says CIMB ASEAN Research Institute executive director Jukhee Hong. She said this could be achieved through several digital transformation initiatives in Malaysia, and the move could help realise the potential of the ASEAN digital economy by the creation of a regional digital community. “Among the proposed initiatives include digital transformation for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) such as sustainable development to assist SMEs from offline to online, and the digitisation of the financial system and public administration. "Online e-commerce policies also need to be aligned with international regulations; secure cross-border data sharing which is protected by strict rules; digital infrastructure and (digital) skill gaps need to be improved in terms of training and education," she said. Hong said this when appearing on the live programme ‘Temu Minda’ with Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah, which was streamed via KKMM’s Facebook page and broadcast on RTM’s TV1 and Bernama TV tonight. Meanwhile, TIME dotCom Berhad chief executive officer Afzal Abdul Rahim opined that infrastructure is the main foundation to catalyse a country's digital economy. He said with the right infrastructure and access to the Internet, the digital age could be ‘the great equaliser’ that allowed the community to use online technology, and in turn, contribute directly to the digital economy. Saifuddin is set to chair the First ASEAN Digital Ministers Meeting (ADGMIN1) and other related meetings hosted by Malaysia beginning tomorrow. The two-day virtual meeting will be officiated by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin who will also deliver the keynote address during the virtual opening ceremony at 10 am. Themed "ASEAN - A Digitally Connected Community" the meeting aims to strengthen cooperation between ASEAN countries towards building a digital ecosystem as the backbone for the region’s post-Covid-19 development plan. 21/01/2021 8:52 AM Good123 masa depan adalah IT. KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 20): ASEAN member states need to strengthen their connectivity and move as one bloc in accelerating digitalisation in the region, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohammad Mentek said this is because the digital sector works as a critical enabler for almost all other sectors. Therefore, he said it is important that the sector ensures the security and safety of the digital ecosystem that is being increasingly relied upon by the other sectors. "I believe and trust that we have had a very fruitful deliberation, and Malaysia ensures its utmost dedication during its tenure of chairmanship," he said in his closing remarks at the first ASEAN Digital Senior Officials Meeting (ADGSOM1) here today. Earlier, ASEAN digital senior officials met with their dialogue partners from the United States (US), China, Japan, Republic of Korea, India, European Union (EU) and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). Mohammad also co-chaired the ADGSOM1 EU Meeting virtually with Petri Koistinen, the principal administrator (international affairs) for the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology. Among the matters discussed during the meetings were the progress of the ICT Work Plan of ASEAN and its dialogue partners and the preparation for the ministerial-level meeting scheduled to be held tomorrow. The two-day virtual ADGSOM participated by all 10 ASEAN member states is hosted by Malaysia with the ASEAN secretariat acting as the facilitator. The meeting will then proceed to the ministerial level ASEAN Digital Ministers Meeting (ADGMIN1) tomorrow, chaired by Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah with Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin delivering his keynote address virtually at 10 am during the opening ceremony of the event. 21/01/2021 8:54 AM Good123 NEW ISSUE OF SECURITIES (CHAPTER 6 OF LISTING REQUIREMENTS) : FUND RAISING MLABS SYSTEMS BERHAD ("MLABS" OR THE "COMPANY") RIGHTS ISSUE WITH WARRANTS MLABS SYSTEMS BERHAD Type Announcement Subject NEW ISSUE OF SECURITIES (CHAPTER 6 OF LISTING REQUIREMENTS) FUND RAISING Description MLABS SYSTEMS BERHAD ("MLABS" OR THE "COMPANY") RIGHTS ISSUE WITH WARRANTS (For consistency purposes, the abbreviations and definitions used throughout this announcement shall have the same meanings as those previously defined in the Abridged Prospectus dated 13 November 2020 issued by the Company in relation to the Rights Issue with Warrants.) KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 23): Twenty-five opposition Members of Parliament (MPs) have urged the government to implement another six months of the automatic loan moratorium to help businesses and individuals mitigate the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. In a joint statement today, the MPs said the loan repayment moratorium would help improve cash flow and save jobs during the movement control order (MCO) 2.0 as had happened under the first MCO in March last year. "With this, individuals and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will have more cash at their disposal, which in turn will help to improve the bottom line of all businesses, encouraging them to keep and maybe increase employment [instead of cutting jobs] as they work through this pandemic,” they said. They said SMEs and individuals that are not affected can continue with their existing loan repayment. The MPs also suggested that the Social Security Organisation (Socso) increase its wage subsidy of RM600 per worker for those earning below RM4,000 and extend it for at least six months. "Six months of the wage subsidy will greatly encourage employers not to resort to cutting jobs and help carry them through [the first] half of this year as they face reduced sales and cash flow,” the statement said. Among the MPs who signed the statement were Darell Leiking (Penampang), Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (Muar), Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman (Sepanggar), Hannah Yeoh (Segambut), Yeo Bee Yin (Bakri), Baru Bian (Selangau), Datuk Rozman Isli (Labuan) and Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub (Pulai). 25/01/2021 11:01 AM Good123 Mlab ada banyak dana, simpan separuh dalam bon, dll, dah boleh menunjukkan keuntungan bagi kumpulan ini .
