Sales Neutralist, I think Ruberex is better than HLT, because they give dividend and bonus. They share price are more value.

John1234 Some of you may not be aware that Rubberex's major shareholder Datuk Eddie Ong Choo Meng is also the executive director of Hextar Global Bhd. His company is currently engaged with a consortium bidding for the Malaysia's five digital banking licences.

"With a platform of eight listed entities within the larger Hextar group of companies which are involved in a wide range of industries such as agriculture (agrochemicals and fertilisers), healthcare (rubber gloves), telecommunications (fibre optic cables), renewable energy (solar), logistics and consumer products, we are able to provide access to layers of thriving ecosystems which could be tapped by the bank. Hence, our excitement at being part of this collaboration,” he said.

Let's see if Rubberex has any chance to benefit from any synergistic collaboration.
21/07/2021 10:46 PM
neutralist hahaha. what synergy? if there is any benefit at all it will only benefit hextar. nothing about digital banking can be linked to rubberex. it will only makes it easier for them to raise debt via its own digital banking platform, or allowed payment via digital banking which all fees shall goes to hextar because the pie and consortium is joined by hextar lol.

John1234 Like anyone, I have the same thinking too. At the same time, I do not prejudge:
1. Well, it is still early days of this race for a digital banking licence. Nothing substantive until early 2022 probably.
2. Rubberex is still currently fully committed to gloves manufacturing and distribution. Any other form of collaboration is outside its primary focus.

Who knows? Major shareholder Ong Choo Meng may come up with something out of the box for Rubberex in time to come.
neutralist hahaha. what synergy? if there is any benefit at all it will only benefit hextar. nothing about digital banking can be linked to rubberex. it will only makes it easier for them to raise debt via its own digital banking platform, or allowed payment via digital banking which all fees shall goes to hextar because the pie and consortium is joined by hextar lol.

Sales Ong Choo Meng is a true businessman. Don't worry, is not a goreng stock, not like penny stock.
22/07/2021 2:23 PM
neutralist Luke wishful thinking. EPS 5 for next QR. ASP drops around 20% qoq. next 1y normalised maybe around 14 cents eps only. pe 7@8 is only 1.12. then after that assuming new capacity is online should be eps yearly around 15c roughly. pe 7@8 give u around 1.2. unless market willing to give pe10 to then then not much upside at current price. if go near 80c again can buy leyh

Lukesharewalker If it normalize to eps 14 then pe 10 is rightly accorded, will ASP drop that much with variants upsurge?
23/07/2021 12:15 PM
JK22 trend or not trend . DIV bila mau kasi ?
23/07/2021 5:20 PM
neutralist luke i dont think surges of variants will have any impacts on asp. now compare to previous before covid time, supply has increased. so asp will just normalize. fast or slow only. i calculated with pre covid asp+20% anyway. fair to say fv is around 1.5-1.6 based on my calculation if you give it a pe10. still if no div given i believe many will run. what is worst when director dump shares on you and give no dividend. i would sit out till there is clarity on div. if i lose out then i lose out. dun really mind.

John1234 Another reality check:

Closing prices as at 23/7/21:
Rubberex - RM 0.96 or 1.92(original pre-bonus issue price)
Comfort - RM 2.09
Careplus - RM 2.18

Tide has changed immensely in favour of Careplus, which has outperformed the rest since my last posting.

What has happened during the review period?
1. Careplus has completed its private placement exercise;
2. Comfort has listed its free convertible warrants;
3. Rubberex has set its private placement price at 80 sen and is looking to place out its shares.

Now, Rubberex is the cheapest in terms of its share price. Even so, it is hardly trading at below 90 sen, way above its private placement price.

John1234 Jun 21, 2021 10:18 AM

If you check back my previous posting on 6 May 21, I had mentioned that Rubberex, Comfort and Careplus were like 3 musketeers, trading at about the same prices:

Rubberex - RM 1.13 or 2.26(original pre-bonus issue price)
Comfort - RM 2.24
Careplus - RM 2.23

Look at the prices now:
Rubberex - RM 1.02 or 2.04(original pre-bonus price)
Comfort - RM 2.08
Careplus - RM 1.74

So, we can see that Careplus has dropped the most during the corresponding period. Rubberex lags slightly behind Comfort currently.

Without doing homework, we cannot make a meaningful comparison.

ket4212 ruberex have dividend?
24/07/2021 2:25 PM
John1234 Rubberex has stopped declaring half-yearly dividend payments after financial year ended 31 Dec 2019. The following announcement was the last dividend payment:

I do not have the reason why. I suspect it could be due to the dire need to preserve cash for its capacity expansion. Once the management has carried out the capacity expansion as planned, we would expect management to resume dividend payments.

ket4212 thanks john1234
24/07/2021 7:15 PM
neutralist John1234 thanks. always appreciate your input and sharing. and of course, better facts than me that always think and do some calculation based on available report which is research in nature. you are give facts. and definately not come out with a statement that it is moving up just because you bought again.

gemfinder Dr Noor Hisham: 96.8 per cent Covid-19 patients under low-risk categories, 265 in critical condition
Author: savemalaysia | Publish date: Sat, 24 Jul 2021, 8:53 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 — A total of 3.2 per cent of Covid-19 cases reported today are Category (CAT) -3, -4 and -5.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the remaining cases which make up 96.8 per cent are cases under the CAT-1 and CAT-2, or low-risk categories.

“There are 260 CAT-5 patients who are critical and in need of ventilators, 129 CAT-4 patients who need oxygen, 127 CAT-3 patients who have lung infection, 6,901 CAT-2 patients with mild symptoms while 8,485 patients have no symptoms,” he said in a statement today.

Malaysia registered a second consecutive day of record-high Covid-19 numbers today, surpassing yesterday’s unprecedented 15,573 cases.

Dr Noor Hisham had earlier said that the number of new Covid-19 infections detected over the last 24 hours was 15,902, giving Malaysia a cumulative total of 996,393 since the pandemic began.
25/07/2021 9:57 AM
gemfinder 95% low risk category. No need hospitalised just monitor at home. Unless u stil wear gloves at home la. . Hahaha
25/07/2021 9:58 AM
gemfinder Dr. Jamalludin, however, said the vaccines had shown to be effective in protecting people from a severe form of the Covid-19 virus.

“Two doses of Comirnaty (Pfizer) and AstraZeneca can protect 88% and 60% respectively from the Delta variant, and it can prevent hospitalisation up to 96%,” he added.

As such, he said the vaccination rollout played a pivotal role in ensuring the Delta variant did not undermine recovery efforts.

“Our vaccine rollout now is among the best in Asia, if not in the world. More than 15% of the population have received two doses and it is important to fully vaccinate more than 50%.

“However, we may see its effect only later. Perhaps not in terms of the number of positive cases, but the number of hospital admissions and deaths,” he said.

My sharing is meant to provide another viewpoint of consideration for our forumers. To make any investment decision, we will need to do our own due diligence.

John1234 Investment is more of an art than a science.

Here we are, trying to predict the mkt demand and mkt supply for gloves 6 to 9 months down the road to derive at the prevailing mkt price of a glove counter.

Factors that could affect mkt demand for gloves:
1. Efficacy of vaccines vs virus mutations
2. World vaccination rates vs (uneven) distribution of vaccines worldwide
3. Level of increased hygiene awareness + living with the endemic

Factors that could affect mkt supply of gloves:
1. Number of existing suppliers worldwide
2. Number of new entrants worldwide

In the process, some variables could undergo changes and that can affect the whole analysis. This is especially so for the coronavirus' super-fast evolvements and mutations.

The recent spike in Covid-19 cases globally did not bring about a sharp rise in glove counters. Apparently, mkt operators are looking beyond the number of Covid-19 cases globally to form the basis of a glove counter's share price.
