FGV Says March CPO Production Up at 215,689 Tonnes From 171,898 Tonnes in February

KUALA LUMPUR (April 12): FGV Holdings Bhd's March 2022 crude palm oil (CPO) production climbed to 215,689 tonnes from 171,898 tonnes in February 2022 as the company’s oil palm fresh fruit bunch (FFB) output rose.

According to FGV’s statements to Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday (April 12) and March 10, 2022, its oil palm FFB output rose to 311,578 tonnes in March 2022 from 249,150 tonnes a month ago.

At the time of writing on Tuesday, FGV’s share price settled down one sen or 0.49% at RM2.03, with a market value of about RM7.41 billion.

The company has 3.65 billion outstanding shares, according to its latest quarterly financial report.

According to its website, the company is one of the world’s largest producers of CPO, accounting for about 15% of Malaysia’s annual production.

"FGV operates in nine countries across Asia, the Middle East, North America and Europe.

"FGV is supported by a strong workforce of more than 45,000 people. We are focused primarily on the three core business sectors of plantation, sugar and logistics,” the company said.
