KUALA LUMPUR (July 18): MN Holdings Bhd has bagged a contract worth RM26.9 million for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) of an interconnection facility for a large scale solar photovoltaic (LSSPV) plant in Chuping, Perlis.

In a statement Monday (July 18), the group said its wholly-owned MN Power Transmission Sdn Bhd, in joint venture with Savelite Engineering Sdn Bhd, had received and accepted the letter of award from the main contractor — Atlantic Blue Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Solarvest Holdings Bhd — for their appointment as the sub-contractor for the 50 MWAC LSSPV plan.

Under the contract, MN Power and Savelite Engineering will be responsible for the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of the interconnection facility.

The job is to start immediately and be completed by Sept 30, 2023.

Savelite Engineering is principally involved in the provision of mechanical and electrical engineering services.

“The group is delighted to be appointed as the sub-contractor to undertake the EPCC interconnection facility for a LSSPV plant and substation for one of the largest solar power plants in Perlis,” said MN Holdings executive director Dang Siong Diang.

With this contract, MN Holdings has successfully increased its order book to approximately RM258 million, he said.

Shares in MN Holdings finished five sen or 2.44% higher at 21 sen on Monday, valuing the underground utilities and substation engineering specialist at RM86 million.
