(Nov 24): Mia Idora Ismail, a Kuala Lumpur-based co-head of Malaysia investment banking and capital markets coverage at Credit Suisse Group AG, is leaving the bank after serving more than five years, people with knowledge of the matter said.
Mia is expected to leave the bank next week, said the people, who asked not to be identified as the information isn’t public yet.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Mia was a director of mergers and acquisitions at Maybank Investment Bank and had also worked with RHB Investment Bank and Affin Investment Bank, according to her LinkedIn profile.
A representative for Credit Suisse declined to comment on Mia’s departure. A reduction in the bank’s headcount is currently underway, and Credit Suisse remains fully committed to the region, the representative said. Mia declined to comment.
