Ex-High Court Judge Mohd Yazid Appointed as LKL International’s Chairman

KUALA LUMPUR (June 6): Former High Court judge Datuk Mohd Yazid Mustafa has been appointed as LKL International Bhd's independent and non-executive chairman with effect from Tuesday (June 6).

In a bourse filing, the hospital bed maker said Mohd Yazid, 66, served as a High Court judge for more than 15 years, and retired from the judiciary at the end of December last year.

He continues to serve as a Shariah Court of Appeal judge in Terengganu.

Prior to becoming a judge, Mohd Yazid served in various capacities both in courts and the Attorney General's Chambers, such as Sessions Court judge, magistrate, senior assistant registrar of the High Court, deputy public prosecutor, senior federal counsel, chairman of the cooperative tribunal, and registrar of the High Court.

Shares of LKL International finished one sen or 6.67% lower at 14 sen on Tuesday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM54.33 million. The counter has fallen over 61% since the beginning of the year.
