Kerjaya Prospek Bags Two Contracts Totalling RM34.4 Mil

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 23): Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd (KL:KERJAYA) announced on Wednesday that its wholly owned subsidiary Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd had secured two new contracts from Pixel Valley Sdn Bhd and Greencove Sdn Bhd respectively, totalling RM34.4 million.

The first contract, valued at RM16 million, involves piling and pile cap works for a development in Batu Kawan, Penang.

The second contract, worth RM18.4 million, involves earthworks and structural works for a proposed development in Damansara Damai, Selangor.

Both projects will begin on Nov 5, 2024, with completion expected within 18 months.

"We are pleased to secure the contracts, which reflect our commitment to delivering high-quality construction services," said Kerjaya chief executive officer and executive director Tee Eng Tiong in a statement on Wednesday.

“We look forward to further solidifying our market position and contribute significantly to the success of these developments,” he said.

He said with a total of 10 contracts secured year-to-date, amounting to RM1.6 billion, the group's outstanding order book now stands at RM4.5 billion.

Kerjaya Prospek Group Berhad initially specialised in designing and marketing lighting products and premium kitchen cabinetry.

Over the years, it expanded into building construction, project management, and property development, and other construction-related services for the premium residential property market.

Kerjaya’s construction division is primarily involved in the building of high-rise residential and commercial buildings for premium developer clients in Malaysia.

At the time of writing on Wednesday, Kerjaya shares were up by four sen or 1.9% at RM2.13, with a market capitalisation of RM2.69 billion.
