I could write more ... but cukup-la. We get the picture that it is bearish, right? Finally, we could not say this is a mere correction. It is time to consider OUT of market before things get nastier. OR perhaps some may think that we might have another round of general-election rally?
Trading Class : Fees
Besides the time-frame I mentioned yesterday, I will want to continue to explain the 'fees' charge. Currently, I am charging RM150 per hour. So, it is divided equally by the number of people attenting the class that day. You see, I do foresee drop-outs I do foresee some could not make it due to personal reasons and such. SO, I do value my fees according to the TIME ... the number of hours I am spending. Look, you may ask my first-cohort as I spent much more hours with them than the amount being paid!! Money is not a real motivation for me to teach them!!
I am currently teaching Maths tuition with a range of RM80 - RM120 depending if they are in a group or individuals, depending on frequency of the class, depending also on the students abilities, depending if it is Maths or Further Maths, depending if I m teaching them here or have to travel to their place ... and few more factors might give me more or less if I am taking the class at the fees given. So, it is sort of extra income for me while helping many students doing well in their exams!! Some tutors here charging more than me but they may not be as 'good'(subjective). It is also depending on human-relation if the students prefer a cheerful lady tutor rather than a not handsome old-man. Haha.
Recently, a group of 6 students called me to have Further Maths tuition for a month. Yes, last minute ... going for exams they look for me. And I have to travel to Sri Hartamas to teach them. So, this will be expensive as 1. it is short and temporary 2. a group of them 3. I need to travel far.
I am charging them RM200 per hour and they are OK with it. Someone must have told them I could solve their last minute revision problems!! Fees ... for the best Further Maths teacher in town? To them, it is worth everything as the results of my previous students shown. Our college shown the best Further Maths results since I was here last year!! Yup, slowly I will even change many things being done here which not friendly to students studying purposes. This is called EXPERIENCE which money could not buy?
So, how much again should I charge for my first(second, actually) cohort of turtles to learn technical-analysis? I place a mere RM150 per hour(coming out to be about RM50 -RM80 per person for each session) because I am NEW and IN-experience. So, I will spend more hours with my students to make them understand how things are - markets work, homework to be done, indicators to be used and so on. Yes, I compensate my inexperience of teaching trading with my dedication!! haha
Is RM150 per hour expensive? There are 3 of them said my charges is too expensive for them to attend the class. I am not charging ONE person la. Do you understand by ... diving equally by the number of participants? Hmm ... I dont know.
There is only one asking for 'free classes'. I could only shake my head and assumed that he was joking. Hehe.
For my cohort-2, I was thinking of RM200 per hour as my TIME becoming more expensive. WHY? Because next month is exam-month where more students will look for me for tuition as I am charging them RM120 per hour. Next year, coming in Jan ... I will be fully occupied as new students intake and such and with my existing students going for their final exams, they might want one-week twice!! TIME could be something I dont have eventho I am a 'superman' with energy to have full-time job, giving tuition, blogging, checking financial news ... and now, teaching few of them about basic technical analysis!! Yes, I do wish to sleep early too ... I do wish to wake up a little late too. But, with tonnes of things to be done, TIME becoming precious to me.
So, my two batches will still be my starting point - with RM150 per hour. I have no intention to have 3rd class at this point of time. Whoever want to join in, do come NEXT Friday. That is all the so-called advertisement I will give. Hmm ...
