Post no 1901 (hotdog)

DOW flat, HSI up 1000 points ... KLCI testing 1500 yet again.

I was reading some political news related to UMNO's assembly. It is always a 'joke' these emotionally charged leaders ACTING as if that they care for the rakyat's interests, particularly in protecting Malay's right. Yes, if only we all races --- MALAYSIANS --- could live together in PEACE, without racial discriminations. If only our leaders stand up to their ONE-MALAYSIA concept. In theory and in paper ... it looks ideally nice. But, in reality ... who are we kidding?

I have not been following political news for years ... as it is same all things, same old preaches ... and same old cronies ruling(and sucking) the wealth of our country. We are very back-ward due to these power-loving politicians. Who dont? Lands ... resources ... public-funds ... it makes your whole generation rich(filthy rich ... ask Mahathir, Ling and Samy) and whoever related to you very rich too. Ask how businesses work inour country, how applications for loans, jobs, licences, tenders of projects ... etc etc ... work in Malaysia. You will be surprise that Malaysia is ACTUALLY a very rich country. Where is our wealth? Is it being shared?

Rat racing ... some fat rats just need to lick someone's butt ... applausing those emotionally-charged politicians giving their speeches(and each time they used millions of riggit ... plus many hidden costs) in such assembly. We see these fully-sponsored(and more) delegates acting out ... and giving us some craps. Heck ... I really dont like politics.

Read the below and more ... you will get how united we are -- in races. I do have many Malay-readers and some Indian readers. Let us have peace together, ignoring our racial-biased politicians. Can we create one-Malaysia in our own sense? Can we free ourselves from these un-productive racial-provocative issue?

It is a dream ... my childhood dream to see ALL Malaysians live as ONE. I like Sabah most ... as I have so many Malay and Kadazan friends. I speak Malay with them, played bowling and football with them. I do have many Indian friends here and one of my best-friend is Indian. We are all Malaysians ... we talk and joke and we forgot about the different colours of our skins. Yet, our leaders will always remind us about our racial differences. WHY? If not for their personal political agenda?

Anyway, do encourage ALL to come out to VOTE. Your one vote counts ... we need to stop these discriminations which have been rooted in our community for far too long ... we should be united. With the invading of more other nationals into our country, we could find the 'ideal' one-Malaysia beyond our grasp. Help our country ... PLEASE VOTE.

Roused by racial jibes umno may forget Najib's unity plea

By Clara Chooi, The Malaysian Insider

Datuk Seri Najib Razak will face difficulty trying to preach his unity and transformation agenda today to an Umno general assembly that has already rejected his pleas for moderation, an analyst has said.

Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS) chief executive Wan Saiful Wan Jan predicted the Umno president would likely adopt a more diplomatic approach when criticising Pakatan Rakyat, refrain from using racial slurs and would instead 'sound Umno's clarion call for unity' to rally his troops ahead of the coming polls.

But, he said, this approach may not go down well with party conservatives who have already been roused over the past two days by speeches demonising PR as anti-Malay, anti-Islam, 'agents of Christianisation', 'bapok' (transvestites), 'bangsat' (bastard) and 'pondan' (effeminate).

As such, Wan Saiful said Najib is now in a quandary as he would likely face a 'resistant Umno' if he adopts an overly-progressive stance and push for change and moderation.

'The battle now is between Najib and Umno. If he pushes the party towards progressiveness and change, there is a likelihood there will be a large movement that will retaliate and reject him,' he told The Malaysian Insider.

He said Najib would have to find the balance between his roles as the president of a race-based party and the prime minister of a multiracial country.

'I suspect he will do both things: try to say that he is protecting the interests of the Malays but, at the same time, claim he is the PM for all Malaysians,' said Wan Saiful.

Political analyst Ong Kian Ming agreed that Najib would likely avoid racial slurs or resort to demonising PR with 'anti-Islam' accusations, but said the prime minister would also have to make references to how Malays have to stand united under Umno's banner.

Muhyiddin's speech at UMNO General Assembly 'the mother of all lies, falsehoods and racism'

The speech by Deputy Prime Minister and UMNO Deputy President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the UMNO General Assembly last night to UMNO Youth, Wanita and Putri wings is the 'mother of all lies, falsehoods and racism'.

It qualifies as the worst and most irresponsible speech ever delivered by a Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy UMNO President and I challenge any UMNO leader to cite any speech made by any Deputy Prime Minister and UMNO Deputy President at previous UMNO General Assemblies which is worse, more racist and tell more lies than Muhyiddin's rants last night.

Muhyhiddin accusations against the DAP as anti-Islam and anti-Malay are false, baseless and pure unadulterated lies.

DAP is a fully patriotic Malaysian party wholly committed to the betterment of all races, whether Malays, Chinese, Indians, Kadazans or Ibans and all religious, whether Islam, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikkhism or Taoism.

What is most despicable are Muhyiddin's irresponsible, incendiary and seditious allegations, as for instance, that the DAP's agenda is to form a republic, with the rhetorical question founded on the lie:
'If not, do they dare to suggest the prime minister's position be selected based solely on elections and without being chosen by the Yang di Pertuan Agong? What is the meaning of this?'

For the record, DAP had never proposed that 'the Prime Minister's position be selected based solely on elections and without being chosen by the Yang di Pertuan Agong'.

What new lie and mischief is the Deputy Prime Minister and UMNO Deputy President up to now and I challenge Muhyiddin to substantiate his dastardly falsehood that the DAP wants to set up a republic.

Right from the beginning, the DAP had declared in Parliament in my first speech 40 years ago in Parliament on Feb. 23, 1971 that DAP fully supported the system of constitutional monarchy and that we 'do not and have not questioned the sovereignty of Rulers'.

In making the most irresponsible and racist speech ever made by a Deputy Prime Minister and UMNO Deputy President, Muhyiddin has lived up to his declaration that he is Malay first and Malaysian second ' totally at variance with the 1Malaysia transformation programme of the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak in wanting to create a Malaysia where all Malaysians perceive themselves as Malaysians first and their race, religion, region and socio-economic status second.

As it is rightly said, a leopard cannot change its spots.

Malaysia is ACTUALLY a very rich country.....no doubt about it.
Where is our wealth?...it's almost gone for good.
Is it being shared?.....no it's not being shared by all Malaysians as only well connected UMNO cronies get their hands on them. Our Ringgit should have been worth more than the Singapore Dollar but even with our plentiful natural resources, we are far far behind. GOD bless our beloved Malaysia.

why quarrelling? we should follow sabah and sarawak...In sarawak and sabah, u can see how 1malaysia already practiced there...i stay in sarawak during my childhood until my diploma years, all races there mix together peacefully...during festivals of chinese new year, gawai and hari raya, they celebrate all festivals because some of their family members also from other races, for example ibanese may have chinese brother in law, while christian might have muslim brother in law...their togetherness is because cross cultural marriage...this is what i observe in sarawak, i really enjoy there...hope this also happen in peninsular....
