Don't bother to start by Patric Chan
Recently, I've been putting on weight, to be more precise, I'm starting to have a 'nice tummy'. Because of that, I've decided to go to the gym to do something about it.
The first day was alright. Very motivated.
The first week was still okay.
Then' I started to get lazy and you can guess; I wasn't motivated anymore after a while.
Not only that I didn't lose my 'nice tummy', I've lost a lot of valuable time (and body ache everywhere too ).
This is how it strike me to write this post today'
Don't bother to start anything if you are not planning to finish it, period.
It could be trivial stuff like going for a picnic.
Or an important matter like adopting a pet (yes, pets are important because animals are lives as well).
When it comes to success, most people failed not because of not having the right strategies, but they never see it through. Of course with the right strategies, it'll surely accelerate your speed of success, maybe 10x faster.
So if you want to be successful, wealthy, whatever you want to be ' if you're not ready to complete what you've started, do yourself a favor and don't start at all because you'll be wasting your time and other people's time. Not only you'll let yourself down, you'll let those who have the confidence and faith in you.
There's a saying that you should start because starting is better than not doing anything, right? Well, I would say it's true but it's half the truth.
Seriously, why not just start on something you plan to finish? Wouldn't that make more sense?
Let me try to stress out how important it is for working on the right goals ' if you start something that you are not 110% focused and end up not completing it, you get NOTHING BACK.
And, you lose out the most important asset of all, TIME. Yeah, you get some experience, fun along the way, etc' but again, what if you were spending this on something else that you're planning to finish? Look ' you'll get the experience, fun and everything else too' AND success by starting something you'll be completing.
But I understand you didn't finish what you've started ' we're just humans. I'm guilty of that too.
So I like to share with you 3 important takeaways from this post:
1. If there's a skill that should be acquired, it should be the skill of making the right decisions. You need to decide WHAT you like to start, especially if it's related to your financial outcome.
2. There are many ways for you to stay focus on a goal. But it seems like the most effective way to ensure yourself of completing what you've started is to be 'hungry' for what you want to be accomplished. So how 'hungry' are you to become successful or wealthy?
3. Success doesn't comes in easy, even it's just a small goal of losing a 'nice tummy'. If you can stand the difficulty, then perhaps, the dream of becoming successful or a millionaire is NOT for you. Sorry it sounds harsh, but I don't like sugar-coating you with useless motivations.
2012 is coming and I don't think it'll be a catastrophe that ends the world. So better start your planning now for major success in the next 12 months.
If you like what you've read, find some truth to what I've shared or just like to say something, please leave your comment ' I read every one of it personally.

The above was very well-written and I will like to share it here. Yes, I totally agree with him as I am as guilty for not completing tasks or things I ventured into and ... efforts and time wasted. I have basically rushing against the time(due to my age? haha) and TIME is becoming such a valuable commodity!!
