From a scammer


I'm sorry for reaching out to you like this, I made a trip to Mallorca, Spain and had my bag stolen from me with my passport and credit cards in it. The Embassy is willing to help by providing me with a temporary passport to fly, I just have to pay for a ticket and settle hotel bills. Unfortunately for me, I can't have access to funds without my credit card, I've made contact with my bank but they need more time to come up with a new one. I was thinking of asking you to lend me some quick funds that I can give back as soon as I get in. I really need to be on the next available flight.

I can forward you details on how you can get the funds to me.

TEH : The above e-mail was replied to KN, my accountant friend. Yes, he really have the guts to CLAIM money from those replied to him!! Hope NO ONE really bank-in any money to him!!

Note : I WILL NOT ask ANY MONEY from ANYONE at ANYTIME through e-mail. The most I might asked will be a meal if you want to have lunch or dinner together! Haha.

Q : Someone has stolen my email account. What can I do to get it back?

I've actually received a couple of reports like this in recent days. The scenario is this: one day you find that you cannot log into your email account. Then, to make matters worse, you find that someone else has been sending email pretending to be you to people you know.

Sometimes damaging email.

Remedies are few, but you do need to act quickly.

I LOST EVERYTHING in my YAHOO e-mail, ALL CONTACTS, ALL folders ...everything!! I need to start my new year with EVERYTHING new.
