Things will go wrong, along the way ... how we overcome obstacles and taking control of your own lives. Assuming responsibilities meaning doing it YOURSELF. Yes, survive the challenges and adversities. Be prepared the next time around.

If you want to be successful ... then ...

If you SHOW UP, you will be ahead of 85% of others.

If you SHOW UP ON TIME, you will be ahead 90% of others.

If you SHOW UP ON TIME WITH A PLAN, you will be ahead of 95% of others.

And if you SHOW UP ON TIME WITH A PLAN AND TAKE ACTION,  then you will be moving to be successful!!

You need to TAKE THE FIRST STEP.

If you MUST, then you can. You will find the way!!

This is what I normally tell my students.

You may have the textbooks and more references books. That doesnt make you a good student.

You may do those homeworks given but that doesnt make you a good student.

You may score excellent in your exams and tests ... but that also doesnt make you a good student.

You may entered a good University and studied the so-called good course, that doesnt make you a good student!!

In my opinions, a good student is a person who know why they are LEARNING, what they are learning and how their learning could be applied. A good student may have only limited resources but with the motivation to learn(derived from the WHY), he will somehow able to find the resources or the resources will eventually find him.
A good student is a person who will do work without being told or given homework!! He simply knew that he will do what he needs to do. Due to his quest for knowledge to learn, he will do the work without being instructed and independent.

A good student know how to apply what he has learned. He does not bother much about exams or results or what others will say about him. He is very focus in his learning and will continue to increase his searching for what he needed ... and placing applications of the knowledge acquire in practice.

A good student understands that 'degree' mean nothing without achieving his goals and desire to master what he has been focusing on.

That is a 'good student' ... in my opinion. MAJORITY of those in public and due to the failure of education system, we DO NOT and COULD NOT produce the good students. We are producing students who score A. That is not education ... and nothing much learnt from years in school or uni.

Amazing? Reflect and think for a while ... are you a good student?
