SEPANG, 23 July 2020 - AirAsia has extended the Credit Account validity period to three years (36 months) from the date of issuance for all of its guests with a valid credit account issued before 30 June 2021. To ensure a seamless experience for our guests, all Credit Accounts issued before June 30th  have now been automatically extended.

The above is only applicable for direct online bookings made via airasia.com or the airasia Super App. For group bookings or those made with travel agents, guests may refer to the respective booking agent for further assistance.

Adam Geneave Chief Customer Happiness Officer of airasia Group said: “We continue to put the needs of our guests first and understand that their travel plans may have changed given the current circumstances. Hence, we are pleased to extend our Credit Account validity to three years on top of providing the flexibility to make future bookings at any time, for any destination and on any AirAsia-operated flight - even during the peak travel seasons. The Credit Account can also be used to purchase baggage allowance, seat selection, inflight meals, insurance, pay for government taxes and fees as well as other optional services. Credit Accounts are not limited to the person on the original booking and can be used to pay for other people’s flights.

“We would like to thank all of our guests who have chosen this option which provides the ultimate flexibility for future travel and we cannot wait to welcome everyone onboard when travel restrictions ease.”

AirAsia would like to remind all guests with essential travel needs to strictly adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set out by the government, check all travel requirements and practise a high level of personal hygiene at all times. AirAsia is proud to be rated the highest 7 Stars by Airlineratings.com for its COVID-19 measures including for website information on COVID-19 procedures, the wearing of face masks, personal protection equipment for the crew, modified meal service, regular deep cleaning of aircraft and more.

AirAsia is also closely monitoring the current situation and reserves the right to announce further policies according to the latest developments.
