Myanmar reports 15 new Covid-19 cases

YANGON : Myanmar confirmed 15 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 614,213 on Monday (Aug 8), according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry said it tested 6,304 people for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, and the daily positivity rate was 0.24 per cent.

It added that the death toll from Covid-19 in the country remained unchanged at 19,434 with no new deaths reported. The total number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19 in the country has risen to 593,018, including 20 new recoveries reported on Monday.

The South-East Asian country detected its first Covid-19 case in March 2020.
