Dow tumbles 700 points for its worst drop since October as investors fear a Covid resurgence.
U.S. stocks fell aggressively Monday on concern a rebound in Covid cases would slow global economic growth. The selling picked up as the session went on, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average had its worst day since last October.
The Dow dropped 725.81 points, or 2.1%, to 33,962.04 in a broad-based rout that sent all 30 members lower. At one point during the session, the Dow was down 946 points before recovering some ground into the close.
The S&P 500 fell 1.6% to 4,258.49. Energy, financials and industrials were the worst-performing sectors.
The tech-dominated Nasdaq Composite slid 1.1% to 14,274.98, posting its fifth-straight day of losses and worst losing streak since October.
Covid cases have rebounded in the U.S. this month, with the delta variant spreading among the unvaccinated. The U.S. is averaging nearly 26,000 new cases a day in the last seven days through Sunday, up from a seven-day average of around 11,000 cases a day a month ago, according to CDC data. Cases were already flaring up around the world because of the delta variant.
Malaysia: Malaysia has a total of 928,000 Covid 19 cases and 7,148 deaths. These 2 figures are still surging. The 7 day average cases is 11,809 cases. Last September last year started to have Covid 19 cases as shown on the chart below.
KLCI has been dropping in the last 9 months as shown on the KLCI chart above. Dow tumbles 700 points will pull down our stock market. MCO is affecting almost all listed companies. Investors seriously must examine their stock holdings and ask these questions:
1. Can MCO affect my stocks?
2. Can my stock price go up under the current situation?
3. Why don’t I sell my stocks and stay safe?

Actually i won't be surprised at all if Dow drop 10k soon! Just look at US President Biden! I mean, he basically doesn't know what he is talking about! Obviously a serious sign of mental degradation! Almost all his speeches fill up with mambo jumbo words that no human understand at all!
I mean, he said that poor kids are just as intelligent as any white kids! That really blew my mind! To think that Mat Sabu speeches are totally brainless but for US president to do the same, i think majority of US voters are much dumber than malaysian ones!

Please, almost all task under Harapan gone down the drain! You have headless ministers trying t impress themselves only to shot themselves on the head!
And if Anwar Zahid power coup was successful, you honestly think overnight Anwar can get the vaccine!
